Lot Essay
The Sola was patented on 29 October 1934 and started sales in c.1938. It could take up to six photographs at around 1½ frames per second, using 16mm. film in special cassettes. The camera featured one of the first spring wound motors which could advance the whole film at one winding. The camera was used by the German Schutz-Staffel who used it take rapid sequence photographs.
