A fan, the leaf painted with a classical scene of ladies on a pavilion by a lake with putti mooring a boat, the verso painted with cherries and strawberries and sprigs of brightly colured flowers, the ivory sticks pierced and painted with a couple dining under a vine, the narrow guardsticks stained red and green and pique with silver - 11in., circa 1700 (slight damage to verso of leaf)
