An Irish giltwood mirror with later bevelled shield-shaped plate within a beaded border with shamrock surround flanked by winged caryatids, indistinctly inscribed on reverse This mirror was designed from drawings from the Book of Kells, in Museum of Trinity College, Made by William Pym, Dublin, for Lord Dunnaven, Adare Manor, County Limerick, March 14, 1785 -- 28½in. (72cm.) wide.
