Lot Essay
This was the first marketed Canon camera. The serial number on the lens mount and fittings to the Canon indicate an early example. cf. Cameras and Optical Toys, 9 May 1991 lot 82.

A 35mm. Hansa Canon camera no. 226 with pop-up viewfinder, shutter speed dial Z, 20, 30, 40, 60, 100, 200, 500, bevelled base shutter release, engraved baseplate no. 2086, a Nippon Kogaku black-face Nikkor f/3.5 50mm. lens and top plate engraved Hansa Canon.
