Lady Evelyn was a wooden schooner of 141 tons built by William Fife & Son of Fairlie in 1870. She was 94'5" in length, had a 18'6" beam and a draught of 10'6"; her signal letters were J.V.C.K.
Originally owned by the Marquis of Ailsa and registered in Ayr, in 1880 she was sold to Francis Pym and then in 1889 Sir Roderick W. Cameron became her owner and remained so until 1896 when A.Edward Tower bought her and her port of registry then changed to New York. Finally, in 1899 she was sold again to J.F. Ackerman of New York.
Unfortunately Lady Evelyn was omitted from the Lloyd's Register after the 1899 edition.
