The Steel Barque Inveresk was built for George Milne's Inver Line in 1891 by McMillan's of Dumbarton. Registered at 1415 tons, she was 237½ feet long and had a 36 foot beam. Sold to Alby United Carbide Factories Ltd. in 1919, they fitted her with triple expansion engine before selling her on to the Burnham Shipping Company in 1920, whereupon she began regular sailings between Hull and Sweden. In 1931 she was sold into Greek ownership and re-registered at Piraeus. Recorded as being 'damaged' in October 1931, she was broken up in 1932.
