Lot Essay

The Calypso was a 286 ton copper-hulled barque built in Sunderland in 1833. Her owner was a Mr Wilkinson and she sailed with Mr. Cromartie as her master. She sailed the London to Barbados route and disappears from Lloyd's Register in 1843.
