A pair of late Ming bronze archaic-style jardinieres of rounded square form with four elephant head ring handles to each corner, decorated with bands of taotie between stylised phoenix below a band of key-pattern to the rims, traces of gilding -- 5in.high, early 17th century; and a cylindrical huanghuali brushpot with slightly everted lip on tripod feet -- 5¾in.high.
