A large copper Safavid bowl with everted rim, decorated with a band of calligraphy interspersed with geometric roundels above hanging pendants of interlacing arabesques (old wear) -- 16in.diam.; and a tinned copper bowl decorated with a narrow band of calligraphy above similar bands and hanging pendants of various animals interspersed with foliage (slight wear, interior re-tinned) -- 13in.diam., both 17th century.
