A pair of Imari baluster jars, fitted lids and domed covers, the shoulders of the jars moulded into folds and tied with tassels at either side, painted and gilt with shaped panels of long tailed birds perched on the branches of flowering prunus trees, all on a ground of scrolling chrysanthemums, peonies and foliage -- 9¾in. high.
