A mid 18th Century Irish circular salver on claw feet and with an applied gadroon, shell and foliate rim, the ground chased with a broad frieze of rococo flowers and foliage incorporating a Chinaman smoking a pipe, an exotic bird and a dolphin, the centre engraved with an armorial and crest within a rococo surround, marks indistinct, Dublin circa 1740 - 10in, 18oz.
