Nancy was bred in 1848 by Pompey out of Hardise by Jereed. She was trained at Beverley by J. Marson, Sr. who is portrayed here with Mr. Martin, the subsequent owner, and the jockey is F. Marson, Jr. In her first two years of racing Nancy won 6,891 gns.
