This is of overhung pattern similar to Evans or Birch, but ungeared. The jockey pulleys are mounted on tubular supports through which the driving band runs. The object seems to be to prevent the band coming off, in which it succeeds. It is clearly by one of the professional makers. No other of this pattern has been recorded.
