A Japanese shibayama-style box and domed white metal cover with crane finial, the tusk-shaped box onlaid in mother-of-pearl and stained ivory with an eagle perched on a flowering tree, the reverse with two geese below trailing wisteria and peony, the cover enamelled with flowersprays (some inlay missing, age cracks) -- 6in.high, signed on rectangular reserve.; and a small Chinese blue and white tankard with white-metal cover -- 3¾in.high.
