A Korean rectangular box and hinged cover, with silver hinges and mounts, decorated in mother-of-pearl with shaped cartouche of phoenix in flight among clouds, on a ground reserved with stylised flowerheads, the sides with further cartouches of dragons, turtles and mythical beasts among clouds -- 9¼in.wide, 17th/18th century.
