A Continental early 17th Century knife, the tapering wooden handle inlaid with engraved mother-of-pearl panels and wires and with an ivory terminal carved in the form of a helmetted bust of a bearded man, the steel blade enhanced with an armorial, initials and a date, probably 1619.
