THE WHO
A remaining piece of Keith Moon's bass drum head used and then destroyed at the end of the Who's set at the Fillmore West, which was their first gig in San Francisco, just before their appearance at the Monterey Pop Festival in June of 1967. At the time, the Who were using hired gear, since their own stage equipment did not arrive for the show, so this was one of the few rare occassions when Moon played Slingerland drums. On what is left of the head, the "ngerland" part of the logo still remains. The head is autographed Keith Moon, Pete Townshend, Roger Daltry, John Entwistle in blue pen. There are marks left from scotch tape, where the original owner had taped a newspaper photo of the Who and an advertisement for their show. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the original owner.
