Two embossed and pierced paperlace valentine cards both with silvered details, one with central hand-painted garland on silk, the other chromolithographic, both with fabric flowers or leaves, both with printed inscriptions, one by Joseph Mansell, circa 1860's, L. 7 x 4½in; together with three embossed envelope valentine cards all with perfumed sachets, printed verses and chromolithographic centres, one unfolding to reveal a printed verse flanked by two chromolithographic panels depicting Cupid and a Cherub, the verse reads 'I love thee. I love thee, and my heart will bear The seal which thou hast set for ever; Truth weaves the silken chain I wear, That death, and death alone can sever', circa 1860's, L. 4½ x 3in; and 7 Greeting cards, including four perfume sachet envelopes and a card by Marcus Ward & Co.
