Provenance
The table was acquired from the Scottish family, Stirling, of Keir and Cawdor, a landed title traceable to 1448. It was probably bought by Sir William Stirling-Maxwell (1818-78) who altered and added to Keir House, the family seat, the family seat, considerably between 1849 and 1851.
