A Kakiemon kendi decorated in iron-red, green, blue, yellow and black enamels, the sides with shaped panels depicting a river landscape and stylised wisteria and other flowers on a ground of quatrefoil flowerheads and scrollling foliage, the neck decorated with similar flowers, the globular spout and everted rim with cloud motifs -- 9in. high, late 17th Century.
