An Imari baluster jar painted in underglaze blue and in coloured enamels and gilt with panels of ladies on terraces looking up at birds in flowering trees, the shoulder with quatrefoil panels of further ladies painting scrolls on a ground of scrolling peonies and foliage (no cover) -- 17in. high, circa 1700.
