A Persian lacquer qalamdan decorated all over with warriors on horseback in battle scenes and hunting scenes -- 9¼in.long; another painted with oval cartouches of ladies' portraits surrounded by birds and foliage -- 8¼in.long; another decorated with figures on horseback in wooded landscapes -- 8¾in.long; and another, painted with oval cartouches of seated dervishes and other figures surrounded by birds among flowering branches -- 8¾in.long, signed and dated 1314 AH.
