A Japanese standing wood figure of Jizo Bosatsu, his face painted in gold, the draped robe painted in gold and colour, holding a shakudo, a staff, in his right hand (some old wear and damage); on a rectangular roironuri stand decorated in gold with scrolling foliage -- height overall 21¾in., the figure 18th century, fitted wood box inscribed Mokucho Kamakura jidai, Jiso Bosatsu ritsuzo.
