This is one of Lalique's classic design featuring a Siren, legendary mythological creatures from Homer's Odyssey, who used their great beauty and mesmerising singing voices to entice unwary sailors to their shipwrecks. This renowned piece epitomizes Lalique's enchantment for Greek mythological subject matter.
Although originally designed as a statue, it was offered as a car mascot and became extremely popular, especially in the opalescent version.
