This monumental vase is probably the largest of Lalique's production vases and only a few examples are known to exist. The fact that this model does not appear in any of his retail catalogues, coupled with the lack of signature, suggests it could have been made exclusively for exhibition purposes, or as one of a very short run which ended due to the lack of commercial viability.
