A finely built and detailed mainly boxwood partially planked model of the Royal Naval ship rigged sloop 'Alert' built by W Hitchock, 1963 -- 34 x 49in (86.3 x 124.5cm)
With masts, yards with stun's'l booms, full standing and running rigging with scale blocks and deck details including carved figurehead, hair rails, anchors, catheads and many other details. The hull, finished in natural wood has decorated transom and quarter lights with partially planked deck. Stand, glazed case.
