A Fukugawa foliate rimmed bowl painted in underglaze blue, coloured enamels and gilt with shaped panels of ho-o in flight and further birds among maple, prunus and peonies around a central floral medallion, the exterior with trefoil panels of peonies, on a ground of ho-o among cloud scrolls and flaming pearls (some gilt rubbing) -- 11in. diam, blue bud mark.
