An Edwardian six-piece boat-shaped tea service, comprising: a teapot and hot water jug with ebonised wood scroll handles and domed hinged covers with oval wood finials, a gilt-lined milk jug and sugar basin and a teapot stand and a hot water jug stand on bun feet, the first four items each engraved with a monogram within a shield-shaped cartouche with vase above and paterae and foliate swags to each side, the teapot and hot water jug also engraved with a crest, the larger stand with presentation inscription, the smaller stand engraved with a monogram, Messrs. Barnard, London 1904 and 1905 - height of hot water jug 8in, 51.75oz. gross.
