This production background was given to Bettina Hansford, a background artist at G.B.Animation Ltd, 1946-1950 by David Hand, the head of this organization, as an example of Tyrus Wong's atmospheric styling which he wished her to emulate in her work. Hand, the supervising director for Snow White and Bambi had been invited to England in 1944 by J.Arthur Rank to develop the British cartoon industry.
