An Edwardian Scottish bellied hot water jug in the early 19th Century taste, on a spreading circular foot and with a bracket handle and domed hinged cover with spiral-twist baluster finial and fluted scroll thumbpiece, the shoulders and cover chased with rococo flowers, scrolling foliage and trellis-work, with two rococo cartouches, one engraved with a monogram, Hamilton and Inches, Edinburgh 1905 - 9½in, 32.75oz.
