A typescript letter, signed, July [1974], 1 West 72nd St. apt.72, N.Y.N.Y 10023, to John's Aunt Elizabeth Jane Parkes nee Stanley [Mater] discussing family business, describing the house in which Norman Birch [husband of another of John's Aunts, Harriet Stanley] resided as ..my contribution to looking after Julia and Jackie [John's step sisters from his mother Julia's marriage to John Dykins] ..Mimi wouldnt take them ..tho I wanted it..aprt (sic) from Mummy ...for COMPANY!.., and referring to his Walls and Bridges album, ...by the way, I put a childhood painting done at 15 ormidale (a horse) in one of my albums.., and referring to the pending birth of Sean ..the baby's due in October (when else?)..here's praying ..we'll bring him over for sure..yes it's a boy..they can tell you these days..(excuse the typing, I'm still to impatient too (sic) correct it, even at my age!.. signed, John and Yoko and annotated with a self-portrait caricature of their smiling faces. 2pp on Lennon Music headed paper; accompanied by a copy of the album Walls and Bridges, Apple Records, 1974; and a drypoint by Edmund Blampied Horse In A Field, signed in pencil, framed, p.4 x 5¾ in. after which Lennon executed the childhood drawing reproduced in the insert to Walls and Bridges.
