This attractive military map shows the cities, towns and fortresses in Southern France. The valleys and mountains are in relief. The key to the roads reveals which are negotiable by foot, by horse and by cannon. The use of anchor symbols outside ports shows which are suitable for fleets, for watering and for the disembarcation of troops.
