A George III tapering lidded tankard on a spreading foot and with a scroll handle with heart-shaped terminal, moulded body band and scroll thumbpiece, later-chased with rococo flowers and scrolling foliage surrounding a vacant cartouche and also later gilt-lined, the domed hinged cover applied with a later finial modelled as a greyhound couchant, Thomas Whipham and Charles Wright, London 1767, the greyhound finial bearing Victorian hallmarks - 8½in, 28.75oz.
