A rare parti-coloured fan, the silk leaf half pink and half white painted with three elegant figures and two small circular vignettes of a lady and gentleman and decorated with ribbonwork and sequins, half the ivory sticks stained pink, pierced and silvered - 10in., French, circa 1770
