Lot Essay

The work was mostly the production of Aaron Hill (1685-1750) and Marshall Smith (fl. 1680-1715). Smith eventually became the works proprietor and was also responsible for two later periodicals, The Monitor, 1713 and The Daily Oracle of 1715.
