"The first thirteen numbers were printed under the superintendance of Dr William King, assisted by Lord Bolingbroke, Matthew Prior, Bishop Atterbury and Dr Freind; Nos. 14-46 were by Swift, and the last six were by Mrs Manley ... Swift contributed only three numbers, Nos. 16, 24 and 34 to the second series" (Rothschild).
