A large Chinese pale celadon jade rectangular plaque, surmounted by a stepped frieze carved and pierced with taotie, carved in relief with the Eight Immortals, each holding an attribute, among clouds below lines of calligraphy, set within a key-pattern border, the reverse incised and gilt with a mountainous river landscape (rubbed, cracks, old wear) -- 15½in.high, 17th/18th century, fitted box.
