ROSS, LONDON N 470, the body tube located on a limb, with rack and pinion coarse and fine adjustment, mechanical stage, sub-stage Abbe condenser and plano-concave mirror, with part complete accessories, including 1/8 Inch, ¼ Inch, ½ Inch and 1 Inch objectives by A. ROSS, eyepieces, polariser, prism and other items in a mahogany case with 6 graduated drawers - 20 5/8in. (52.3cm.) high, the body tube of the microscope and door of the case applied with silver presentation plaques to George Rainey Esquire, Demonstrator of Anatomy and Microscopical Anatomy at St. Thomas's Hospital Medical School. May 1852.
