An early 19th-Century lacquered brass Culpeper-type monocular microscope, unsigned, with draw tube focusing, the body tube, stage and circular wooden base (indistinctly signed in ink) with mirror united by scroll supports, terminating in diamond-shaped pad feet, with 4 objectives, sprung stage, frog plate and other items, in pyramid-shaped mahogany case - 13½in. (34.3cm.) high.
