An ovoid vase painted and gilt with a panel of Buddhist figures and a tiger, the reverse with bijin beside a riverbank, on a ground of dragons and floral designs, between formal borders (some gilt rubbing) -- 18½in. high, signed Dai Nihon Satsuma Hotoda below a gilt Satsuma mon.
