An 18th Century tapering circular swing-handled cream pail decorated with horizontal fluted bands and with a shaped rim, the underside scratch-engraved with two sets of initials, struck with maker's initials only four times, W. M., a pellet between, a flowerhead above, probably London, circa 1770 - 4¼in. overall; and a matching unmarked cream ladle with spiral-twist handle, the underside of the lipped crimped bowl engraved with the same two sets of initials.
