(6 x 3 7/8 in.), contemporary Dutch olive morocco, covers gilt with border of floral tools, crown tools at each side, at center the arms of the Ashkenazic community of Amsterdam, surmounted by two angels holding a crown, the emblem of the community's governors, lower cover with the name of the owner lettered in gilt, spine gilt in six compartments, 2 brass clasps, g.e., folding cloth chemise and morocco-backed slipcase, the initials "MEG" gilt-stamped on case; slight wear to extremities, upper inner hinge split, flyleaf and title of the first work detached, occasional cropping to text at fore-margins, a few childish pencil scribbles on flyleaves and internal blank pages.
