An oxidised brass universal equinoctial compass dial, the hour scale divided IIII-IIX-IIII, VIII-IIX-VIII and VII-IIX-IIII, with spring loaded gnomon, the latitude arc engraved 20°-90°,the silvered compass dial with engraved compass rose, with edge-bar needle on pivot with cap, the base plate with level and cross bubble, adjustable screw foot (two missing), trade mark stamped on underside, in plush lined leather covered case - 4in. wide (6)
