a-l8 10 (-a1). [97 (of 98?)] leaves, lacking title. Roman, Hebrew and Greek types, colophon with printer's woodcut device on [88]v. The unsigned quire of 10 leaves bound in after the colophon bears its own title-leaf: "Septem psalmi poenitentiales hebraici cum grammaticali tralatione [sic] latina"; the Hebrew text of the seven penitential psalms is printed from right to left with the Latin translation on the facing pages, printed in a smaller typeface than in the preceding commentary.
Capital strokes supplied in red throughout. Last line of text on fol. c8r omitted by the printer and supplied in a contemporary hand (before rubrication).

FIRST EDITION of Reuchlin's translation and commentary, apparently very rare. Not in Benzing, Bibliographie der Schriften J. Reuchlin, nor in BM/STC or Adam, both of which list only a later edition of this work, printed in Wittenberg by Joseph Klug in 1529.

Together 4 works bound in one vol., 8vo, 140 x 91 mm. (5 1/2 x 3 5/8 in.), eighteenth-century speckled sheep, decorated floral endpapers, broken, front free endpaper and title-leaf of first work detached, lower endpaper and first leaf of last work loosening, a few marginal repairs or tears, soiling and scattered staining throughout.
