A SILVER COFFEE POT, bearing marks for London, 1792, maker's mark apparently RE, possibly overstriking that of P. & A. Bateman, (under base), chased later, baluster on rocaille flat chased short base, the lower body and shoulder chased with flowers, ruffled rocaille and foliate scrolls, two sides engraved with crest between, with wood scroll handle, part foliate scroll spout, the hinged molded domed cover chased with rocaille and floral band and topped by acanthus bud finial--10in. (25.4cm.) high, gross weight 26oz.
