George C. Erickson served his apprenticeship under Arthur J. Stone (1915-1932), and became a master craftsman in the production of flatware. In 1932 Erickson bought the shop of David Carlson from his heirs. Carlson also worked at Stone associates from 1909 to 1919. During the 1930's Erickson joined together with Herman Glendenning, the flatware and holloware specialist of Stone Associates (1920-1937), and used the mark "Erickson Handwrought". Glendenning set up his own shop in 1971. .
