A SILVER COVERED SUGAR BOWL AND FRUIT BOWL, maker's mark of Gorham, Coin, circa 1859, no. 50, the ovoid, gilt lined, engine turned sugar bowl on four foliate headed supports, with initialled cartouche two sides, the cover with plain reserves, two engraved with village scene, with fluted calyx and ball finial, swing handle, underside engraved with inscription dated 1859--7½in. (19cm.) high, the hemispherical bowl on short foot, the shoulder applied with demi spheres, with beaded rims--Samuel Hawkes--9¼in. (23.4cm.) diam., together with an Edwardian cigar lighter--London, 1906--7in. (17.7cm.) high, 57.5oz. (3)
