A Victorian inkwell in the form of a Roman lamp with scroll handle terminating in an eagle's head, the domed detachable cover attached with a chain, engine-turned and engraved with stylised scrolling foliage and zig-zags and with contemporary presentation inscription, J. C. Eddington, London 1858 - 5¼in, fitted with a glass inkwell cut with flowers and foliage.
