A pair of Arita trumpet vases painted in underglaze blue, coloured enamels and gilt with shaped panels of shishi lions on rockwork and ho-o among flowers, all on a ground of peonies, chrysanthemums and scrolling folige (one cracked) -- 16in. high, circa 1700.
