A well engineered model of a single cylinder pear crank water pumping engine built by H Beech to a design based on the engine at the Boat Museum, Ellesmere Port. Measurements overall -- 12 x 6 5/8 (30.5 x 16.8cm)
With brass bound wood lagged cylinder 1in bore x 3/4in stroke supported on two tapered columns, draincocks, inlet and exhaust pipes with flanged joints, studded stuffing boxes, bolted and wedged big end, direct coupled pump 5/8in bore, suction and delivery pipes and spoked flywheel. Finished in green, red and polished brightwork. Metal bed on tiled base.
